Meet the Speaker

Ted Sorom

Ted Sorom

Ted is the co-founder and CEO of Mantle. Ted is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in product design and manufacturing—including tooling. Prior to Mantle, Ted served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at SRI International, researching possible spin-out opportunities in robotics and computer vision. Prior to SRI, Ted was the founder and CEO of an online payment company, which he grew into a profitable multinational corporation spanning North and South America. Earlier in his career, Ted held engineering design and leadership roles in the consumer and industrial products industries. Ted has an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California in Berkeley, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's degree with an Engineering focus from Dartmouth College.
